Ambassador Program Terms

Last updated: April 4, 2026

1. Program Overview

The GitProduct Campus Ambassador Program ("the Program") allows college students to represent GitProduct at their educational institution, recruit fellow students to the platform, and earn compensation based on the activity of students at their school. The Program is operated by Viva Global LLC.

2. Eligibility

  • You must be at least 18 years of age
  • You must be currently enrolled at an accredited college or university in the United States
  • You must have a valid .edu email address
  • You must have an active GitProduct account
  • Ambassador slots are limited to 20 per school per cohort
  • Acceptance into the Program is at the sole discretion of GitProduct

3. Cohort Structure

The Program operates in six-month cohorts: January 1 through June 30, and July 1 through December 31. Ambassadors must re-apply for each cohort. Acceptance in one cohort does not guarantee acceptance in subsequent cohorts.

4. Ambassador Responsibilities

  • Recruit students at your school to join GitProduct using your unique referral link
  • Help recruited students understand the platform and make their first contributions
  • Maintain active builder status on GitProduct (you must also contribute to products)
  • Represent GitProduct honestly and professionally
  • Complete any required ambassador training
  • Do not engage in spam, harassment, or misleading recruitment practices

5. Compensation

Bounty Share: Ambassadors earn a share of 10% of all bounty earnings by students at their school during the cohort period. This 10% is split equally among all active ambassadors at the same school. For example, if students at your school earn $1,000 in bounties and there are 5 active ambassadors, each ambassador receives $20.

Token Bonus: Ambassadors earn an additional bonus based on the total tokens earned by students at their school. The bonus is calculated at $1 per 100 tokens earned collectively, split among active ambassadors, and capped at $500 per ambassador per cohort.

Total ambassador compensation (bounty share + token bonus) is capped at $1,000 per ambassador per cohort. Compensation is calculated at the end of each cohort and paid via the ambassador's connected Stripe account. GitProduct reserves the right to withhold payment in cases of fraud or Terms violations.

6. Tax Obligations

Ambassador earnings are considered independent contractor income. You are solely responsible for reporting and paying all applicable federal, state, and local taxes on your ambassador earnings.

If your total earnings from GitProduct (including ambassador compensation and bounties) exceed $600 in a calendar year, GitProduct will issue a Form 1099-NEC as required by the IRS.

GitProduct does not withhold taxes from ambassador payments. You may wish to consult a tax professional regarding your obligations.

7. Age Requirements and Minors

The Ambassador Program is only available to individuals who are at least 18 years of age. By participating, you confirm that you are 18 or older. If we discover that an ambassador is under 18, their participation will be immediately terminated and any unpaid earnings will be forfeited.

8. Payment Processing

Ambassador payments are processed via Stripe. You must connect a Stripe Express account to receive payments. GitProduct is not responsible for delays caused by Stripe account verification, banking issues, or incorrect account information. Payments are made in USD.

9. Anti-Gaming and Prohibited Conduct

  • Creating fake accounts to inflate referral counts
  • Submitting or encouraging low-quality contributions solely to meet qualification thresholds
  • Misrepresenting GitProduct or the Ambassador Program
  • Spam recruitment (mass unsolicited messages, unauthorized use of school mailing lists)
  • Colluding with other ambassadors to manipulate earnings
  • Any form of harassment or coercion in recruitment

Violations result in immediate suspension from the Program, forfeiture of unpaid earnings, and potential suspension of your GitProduct account.

10. Termination

GitProduct may terminate your participation in the Program at any time, with or without cause. You may voluntarily withdraw at any time. Upon termination, you will receive any earned but unpaid compensation for the current cohort, unless termination was due to fraud or Terms violations.

11. Relationship

Ambassadors are independent participants, not employees, agents, or representatives of Viva Global LLC. The Program does not create an employment relationship. Ambassadors are not authorized to make commitments or enter agreements on behalf of GitProduct.

12. Program Modifications

GitProduct reserves the right to modify the Program terms, compensation structure, cohort dates, or slot limits at any time. Active ambassadors will be notified of material changes. Continued participation after notice constitutes acceptance.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, United States. These terms are supplemental to the GitProduct Terms of Service, which also apply to your use of the platform.
